Joining Instructions Troon Cruising Club

The 2008 Opening Muster to Largs will take place on Saturday/Sunday May 10th/11th.

These instructions are for cruisers. If you are taking part in the Blue Peter Trophy Races, please see the separate Race Instructions.

If you plan to attend, please put your boat’s name on the whiteboard, and also the number of people who wish to attend the meal, see below for more on this.

Lead Boat – Rosie B.  If you  have questions or need any information about the arrangements while on passage, please call on Ch 16 or 77.

Start time – there is no set start time for the muster, make your own way to Largs as and when it suits you. High Water is 0346 and 1647 approx.

Destination – Largs Marina.  Flotilla berthing has been arranged in Largs Marina, the exact location to be decided on the day by the Marina staff.  On arrival at Largs, please contact the Marina either on VHF Channel 80 or by phone on 01465 675333 and they will tell you where to berth.  Be prepared to raft up with other TCC boats. The Flotilla Berthing rate is £15 per boat.  Please give the money to the Cruising Convenor (Andrew Duffin) who will deal with the Marina on everyone’s behalf. Please do not pay the Marina directly, they want one payment from us to cover all our boats.

Meal - There will be a meal in Largs Sailing Club at 7pm.  If you wish to come to the meal you MUST tell us in advance since we are required to give final numbers to the Sailing Club by noon on the day. You can put your name on the whiteboard, you can email tccnotices@fsmail.net, or you can call me on VHF Ch 16 or 77 before noon on the day.

The price is £13.50 per head for two courses.

Everyone should settle their own bill for the meal.

Return – there are no special arrangement for the return journey, unless you are racing.
