Double Helix in Marina Salinas at Torrevieja

Double Helix has four cabins, aft (with ensuites) and forward in each hull. In the port hull the cabins are linked by the galley, in the starboard hull they are linked by the workshop. The bridge deck houses the main saloon (we call it the lounge!!) which includes a nav station. Outside living space is the vast cockpit and forward, the trampolines.

We use the starboard hull for sleeping, and the port hull for guests and for toys!

This is the starboard forward cabin. (Otherwise known as Ellen and Anna’s bedroom.)

This is the port side forward cabin – the playroom.

This is the starboard aft cabin (Lizzie and Johns bedroom) (didn’t bother with a picture of the heads).

Between the cabins on the Port side is the Galley (hub of activity).

On the starboard side is the shower and workshop (other hub of activity). (picture to follow)

                This is the lounge / saloon / bridgedeck ,  this is without the table inside, leaving plenty of space for play! In the summer the table lives outside, in the winter we bring it in for dinner and breakfast (and schoolwork).

Here it is with the table inside and a good view of the toys and books! (there was a big TV in that space when we bought the boat). You can see the chart table in the starboard forward corner.

The steering position is on the port side of the cockpit, with the instrument displays to the left of the wheel. (Plenty of head height for John when he gets a chance to helm!!)

           There is plenty of room in the cockpit for the table, BBQ, and the odd game of catch! The trampolines are great when the waves aren’t splashing over them.
