There are four of us - John, Lizzie, Ellen and Anna Douglas.
We have sold our house in Prestwick (West coast of Scotland) and moved onto Double Helix – a 45ft Sailing Catamaran.
Why? Because: we love sailing; we love to travel – see new things / places – meet new people; we love to spend time together; and because we can! (those are just some of the reasons!)
This website is intended for friends and family (and anyone else interested) to see what we are up to, and where we have been.

Here is a bit about each of us if you don’t know us;
John Douglas
All round sailing enthusiast! John has sailed in the Clyde (West Coast Scotland) since childhood – mostly on his dad's boat – Seascape (offshore 8m). He is qualified as a Social worker after going to university as a mature student.
His other hobbies include Kite buggying, juggling and – did I mention – sailing?
Lizzie Douglas
All round alternative lifestyle enthusiast! Lizzie has travelled in Asia, lived in a caravan and then a tipi amongst other things before marrying John. She is a Shiatsu practitioner and teacher, a Reiki Master and a sports masseuse.
Her hobbies include music, sailing, and Qi Kung
Ellen Douglas
At the time of writing Ellen is 4 years old. She has been sailing since she was 3 weeks old! Ellen loves pink, beautiful clothes, swimming riding her bike and ponies.
Anna Douglas
At the time of writing Anna is 2 years old. Anna loves all kinds of colours, all kinds of animals, and puzzles.
